Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. Her true love in life was writing and she won an Emmy. Additionally, she was awarded an Emmy award for her outstanding host of a talk program. From 2002 until 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. She anchors The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour newscast at the beginning of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. There, she tracked down and interviewed the father who commanded hijackers to an eye-opening, captivating interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show, profiling celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves has also worked for CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter anchor and producer (1997-1999). Prior to joining CBS News in 1995, Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her final year at the University of Southern California. She began her career as an assistant for ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among Moonves' journalistic idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
